AMO Pollution Services, Inc Canonsburg, Pennsylvania The Road to Reuse ~~~ AMO Pollution Services, Inc. operated a hazardous waste container storage facility on an 11.5-acre property in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, and specialized in emergency response and cleanup operations for spills, tank cleaning, and Superfund actions. These activities were permitted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under RCRA interim status. The facility clean closed its storage facility in 1990. AMO Pollution Services, Inc. went out of business in 1991 and additional clean-up activities of adjacent areas and buildings were completed by the subsequent property owner in 1992. The 11.5 acre site included a large building used for administrative offices and a truck and equipment maintenance area, and a smaller building that served as a staging and storage area for incoming drums of hazardous waste. The 11.5 acre site is now reused as a sports training center and indoor soccer fields for winter use.
