CUPSS Coordinator There have recently been some changes in CUPSS leadership at EPA! Susanna Bains has taken the role of CUPSS Coordinator within the Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water (OGWDW) at EPA. Susanna has spent the past year working on trainings, enhancements, and technical assistance for CUPSS, and plansto continue to find ways to further promote asset management for small systems in 2016. As part of these efforts, EPA is re-convening an Asset Management Workgroup. This workgroup began in 2012 to identify best practices that states could use to encourage asset management implementation at drinking water systems. The workgroup developed two products: 1) State Asset Management initiatives and 2) The Reference Guide for Asset Management Tools, in 2016, the workgroup will build on this work to identify ways states and TA providers can promote asset management to local decision makers.
