Readiness for Use: In continued use during the site's remedia- tion: manufacturing plant and farm supply store located on the northern portion of the site. Current site uses include a salvage yard and a vehicle maintenance and repair shop. Princeton, Florida The site is located in southeast Dade County. Florida, adjacent to U.S. Route 1 (Dixie Highway), approximately a half-mile southwest of the City of Princeton. SETTING: • The site is zoned for commercial and industrial land uses. • Areas north and west of the site are zoned for agricultural land uses. Areas south and east of the site- are zoned for industrial, commercial, and residential land uses. • The site's former owners listed the property with a commercial real estate broker in 2004. In Spring 2005, a residential development company purchased the site. • Homestead Air Force Base is located 2.5 miles south of the site. • Surrounding population: 0.5 mile, 512 people; 2.5 miles, 24,960 people; 5 miles, 78,844 people.
