How We Help
EPA's Land Revitalization Program helps
communities remove barriers to reusing and
redeveloping properties that are or may be
contaminated. Removing the barriers to reuse
clears the way for new redevelopment that can
transform communities into sustainable and
environmentally just places.
The program develops, tests, and advances a
range of approaches that help communities
safely reuse their underused, contaminated
and potentially contaminated properties.
Beyond addressing the environmental
challenges, these properties require careful
and innovative planning, local collaboration
with public and private partners, and creative
financing to unlock their potential.
