LOUISIANA - EPA Map of Radon Zones The purpose of this map is to assist National, State and local organizations to target their resources and to implement radon-resistant building codes. This map is not intended to determine if a home in a given zone should be tested for radon. Homes with elevated levels of radon have been found in all three zones. All homes should be tested, regardless of zone designation. http://www.epa.gov/radon/zonemap.html JWOREHOUSI 7 WEST CARROLL I EAST\ CARROLL CLAIBORNE LINCOLN OUACHITA/ RICHLAND^ CADDO MADISON JACKSON BIENVILLE ) RED DE SOTO -\ RIVER CALDWELI TENSAS CATA- HOULA LA SALLE NATCHI- TOCHES GRANT :ONCO| iDIA SABINE VERNON /ASHINGTOI ALLEN BEAUREGARD JEFFER- SON DAVIS IBERVILLE /ASCEN.\ \ J SION st Jf uamej c ASSUMPTION ACADIA •RLEAN: CALCASIEU LAFAYETTE ST 1 CHAR- \les IBERIA _ST BERNARI CAMERON .LAFOURCHE; ST MARY PLAQUE-\ I .MINES TERREBONNE JEFFERSON RAPIDES Iavoyelles , _ WEST / CfleT ST flELICIANA EAST [HELENA /FELICIANA 1 EVANGEO \ 1 -A/-— 7 J TANGI-1 LINE } ST J POINTE \"f / ~1 PAHOA] LANDRY COUPEE^ v/IrATON BATON Soug^ LMNG" ^ROUGE' \ STON Zone 1 Zone 2 Zone 3 IMPORTANT: Consult the publication entitled "Preliminary Geologic Radon Potential Assessment of Louisiana" (USGS Open-file Report 93-292-F) before using this map. http://energy.cr.usgs.gov/radon/grpinfo.html This document contains information on radon potential variations within counties.
