Training presented by, EarthEcho International, Roots and Shoots, the Environmental Protection Agency, Operation Endangered Species and educators
Project PEACE by Youth is seeking teachers interested in supporting student environmental champions
and learning how to more effectively teach remotely. Project PEACE will Promote Environmental Action
and Community Empowerment by Youth by engaging students on issues of importance in their own
communities and building their capacity to use online tools (including EnviroAtlas) to understand,
explore, and create action plans to address these local issues.

Publication updates
The EnviroAtlas team has a new paper out in the journal Remote Sensing of Environment. The paper
highlights EnviroAtlas data layers that can be used to consider and monitor progress on the United
Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Check out the article here.

Oregon, b) Chicago, Illinois, c)Austin, Texas, and d) Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Data highlights
Did you know - EnviroAtlas has data highlighting recreational ecosystem services like fishing, hunting,
and birdwatching? These social-distancing friendly activities are an important component of the
ecosystem services we receive from nature, and promote mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
