Message #16: June, 1998
Since May 1, TechDirect gained 235 new subscribers for a total of
4606. I have received a number of comments from subscribers
whom seem pleased with the content and brevity of TechDirect. As
we continue to improve, we are constantly trying to identify how to
gauge the usefulness of the service. If anyone has any specific
examples of where TechDirect has identified a publication that was
particularly timely and filled an information need you had, we would
love to know about it. Also, we would like to be able to let the
organizations responsible for developing the documents know that
their publication(s) were particularly useful in the work others are
doing. I am sure much of the information presented in TechDirect
probably falls into the nice-to-know category, but has any fallen into
the great-to-know-right-now category? We would love to hear from
you.
Welcome to all the newcomers. If your peers are interested in
subscribing to TechDirect, they may do so on the Clean-Up
Information (CLU-IN) home page at http://clu-in.org. If they do not
have Internet access, your peers may subscribe by sending an
