A list of this non-asbestos related work is available on our website at: http://go.usa.gov/6EMJ U.S. EPA Contacts: Based on the results of the post-cleaning air samples, EPA and the Centers for Disease Control and Pre- vention/Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) have determined that residents are not being exposed to unsafe levels of asbestos fibers that would cause short or long-term health concerns. Under EPA's oversight, the building owner, Laramar, undertook actions to clean the common areas and certain apartment units in Buildings 1202 and 1204. After each cleaning, Laramar conducted air sampling activities to ensure that residents would not be exposed to unsafe levels of asbestos fibers. All final post-cleaning air sampling results were less than the residential benchmark of 0.0009 structures/ cm3. Information about the sampling methodology, the public health consultation by ATSDR, and a sum- mary of results for individual apartments, will be sent to affected residents.
