In continued use during site remediation: warehouse located in
south-central portion of the site, with northern portion of the
site in use as a paved parking lot. Site leased to a screen and
aluminum contracting firm.

Restricted use: Remediation equipment and vapor intrusion
locations

Florida, in the Orient Park
section of the City of
Tampa,

SETTING:

•	The site and its surroundings are zoned for
industrial and residential land uses.

•	Areas surrounding the site are in light
industrial, commercial, and residential use.

•	Two residential neighborhoods and

three schools are located within 1.5 miles of
the site.

•	The Helena Chemical Company Superfund
site is located east of the Alaric Area Ground
Water Plume Superfund site.

•	Surrounding population: 0.5 mile, 1,892
people; 2.5 miles, 26,176 people; 4 miles,
73,342 people.

REMEDIAL STATUS:

•	Remediation of the ground water plume
underneath the site is ongoing.

•	Site remediation involves in-situ chemical
oxidation of groundwater contaminants

and air stripping to address contaminants
at-depth.
