Federal Energy Program

Home Energy Saver

The Home Energy Saver is a do-it-yourself energy audit
tool that helps identify ways to reduce energy use and
help save money in your home or apartment.

Benefits: Resident receives increasingly customized
results along with energy^saving upgrade recommen-
dations.

Cool Smart

Rebates on central air conditioning and valuable qual-
ity installation verification service.

Eligibility: Available to any residential central AC sys-
tem regardless of efficiency or age through a growing
number of participating contractors. COOL SMART
verifies the result

EnergyWise

The EnergyWise program provides home energy audits
for residential customers, condominium associations,
and apartment building owners
Benefits: Incentives and low-interest loans are avail-
able to help pay for improved insulation and the instal-
lation of ENERGY STAR lighting and refrigerators.

High-Efficiency Heating and Hot
Water Equipment Rebates

This program provides high-efficiency heating and hot
water equipment rebates for homes and small busi-
nesses

Benefits: High-efficiency steam boiler and hot water
boiler.

Eligibility: Residential or commercial heating customer
of Bay State Gas, National Grid, New England Gas,
Northern Utilities, Nstar Gas or Unitil (MA)

Mass Save Home Energy
Assessments

Home Energy Assessment focuses on your home's ther-
mal envelope (shell insulation and air leakage condi-
tions) and mechanical systems to identify cost effective
energy efficiency improvement and/or replacement
opportunities. Regardless of the fuel you use, we will
evaluate all opportunities to save you energy.

Benefits: An energy efficiency expert will assess your
home's current energy and provide a custom list of rec-
ommended ways to make energy saving changes in
your home. A wide range of incentives may be available
for many of the measures that will be included on your
list.

Carpooling

Save gas and lessen pollution by sharing rides as well as
save time by using HOV lane

Transit

Fares for using public transportation can be re-
duces, based on different programs and eligibility
