EPA to Temporarily Use the
Garfield City's Lot on Grand
Street

Community Update	January 2011

This update is to let you know of upcoming activity you
may notice in your neighborhood related to EPA's
investigation of chromium in groundwater.

Starting this month, well drilling trucks, trailers, and other
equipment needed to install monitoring wells will be
temporarily stored on the City lot located behind the
Willard Street firehouse. The lot will be used by EPA and
its contractors through the remainder of the winter and
into this spring.

You may notice EPA and its contractors moving vehicles
and equipment to and from the lot between 7:00am to
6:00pm weekdays. Once installation of monitoring wells
is completed on the city right-of-ways in the south east
section of the City, all equipment will be removed from
the lot and the lot will be cleaned and restored to its
current condition.

EPA utilizara temporalmente un lote de la Ciudad de Garfield en la calle Grand.

Esta informe es para hacerle saber de la actividad proxima es posible que observe en su comunidad
relacionados con la investigation de la EPA de cromo en las aguas subterraneas.

A partir de este mes, la perforation de pozos camiones, remolques y otros equipos necesarios para instalar
pozos de monitoreo se almaccnaran temporalmente en el solar ubicado detras de Ciudad de la estacion de
bomberos en calle Willard. El lote sera utilizado por la EPA y sus contratistas durante el resto del invierno y
en esta primavera.

Es posible que ven a la EPA y sus contratistas moviendo vehiculos y equipos desde y hacia el lote entre 07
a.m.-6:00 pm durante la semana. Cuando la instalacion de pozos de monitoreo esta completa en la ciudad
derecho de via en la section sureste de la ciudad, todo el equipo sera eliminado el lote sera limpiado y
restaurado a su estado actual.
