Technical assistance and training on applying for and managing grants 2. Community collaboration, facilitation, and engagement services 3. The Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Centers (EJ TCTAC) Program will establish technical assistance centers throughout the United States to provide technical assistance, training, and support to communities facing environmental and energy justice challenges. The EJ TCTAC Program will provide eligible organizations approximately $10,000,000 each over a five-year period to establish and maintain a technical assistance center supporting the technical assistance needs of underserved communities. 5-10 awards will be issued nationwide establishing the centers (referred to as EJ TCTACs). Awards will be issued as cooperative agreements where EPA will be substantially involved in the operation of the EJ TCTACs. Applicants interested in applying to be an EJ TCTAC can apply to serve underserved communities throughout a specific Regional Geographic Area, multiple Regional Geographic Areas, or nationwide. Each of the ten Regional Geographic Areas reflect the geographic make-up of the ten EPA Regions. Each EJ TCTAC will be expected to provide technical assistance services to underserved communities in all states, territories, and tribal lands in their assigned Regional Geographic Area(s). Is My Organization Eligible? An eligible applicant MUST BE one of the following entities: • Public and private universities and colleges • Public and private nonprofit institutions/organizations (includes institutions of higher education such as community colleges, and philanthropic organizations), • Intertribal Consortia The following entities are INELIGIBLE, but eligible applicants may work with these organizations as appropriate to expand EJ TCTAC service capabilities. • State and local governments and their agencies and instrumentalities • State recognized tribes and federally recognized tribes • US Territories and possessions • For-profit businesses and individuals ------- |
