The Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Centers
(EJ TCTAC) Program will establish technical assistance centers throughout the
United States to provide technical assistance, training, and support to
communities facing environmental and energy justice challenges. The EJ TCTAC
Program will provide eligible organizations approximately $10,000,000 each
over a five-year period to establish and maintain a technical assistance center
supporting the technical assistance needs of underserved communities. 5-10
awards will be issued nationwide establishing the centers (referred to as EJ
TCTACs). Awards will be issued as cooperative agreements where EPA will be
substantially involved in the operation of the EJ TCTACs.

Applicants interested in applying to be an EJ TCTAC can apply to serve
underserved communities throughout a specific Regional Geographic Area,
multiple Regional Geographic Areas, or nationwide. Each of the ten Regional
Geographic Areas reflect the geographic make-up of the ten EPA Regions. Each
EJ TCTAC will be expected to provide technical assistance services to
underserved communities in all states, territories, and tribal lands in their
assigned Regional Geographic Area(s).
