PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Orange County Water District will expand its existing water recycling plant from 100 millions of gallons
per day (mgd) to 130 mgd by using treated wastewater from the Orange County Sanitation District Plant
#2. The project will create another 31,000 acre-feet per year of water supply for the service area;
recharge the local groundwater; and reduce the need for imported water.

Selected projects must submit an application for a WIFIA loan, pass a creditworthiness assessment,
negotiate a mutually agreeable term sheet, and execute a credit agreement to receive WIFIA funding.
An invitation to apply indicates that EPA believes the selected projects will be able to attain WIFIA loans.
