2019 AirToxScreen Emissions Updates

Emissions for the sources listed below have changed since EPA completed the modeling step of the
AirToxScreen analysis. This list includes sources with:

•	Known changes to emissions that occurred after 2019 (and therefore are not reflected in
AirToxScreen)

•	Changes that EPA incorporated into the AirToxScreen results via post-modeling corrections

•	Recent corrections to 2019 emissions that are not reflected in the AirToxScreen results

1. Known changes to Emissions that occurred after year 2019

AirToxScreen reflects emissions in 2019. The following facilities have had reductions, corrections, or
elimination of emissions since 2019. There are additional shutdowns that have occurred, the ones listed
here have been featured on the AirToxScreen Mapping Tool. This should be considered in your use of
AirToxScreen to prioritize pollutants or sources for further study.

2.	Changes from 2019 NEI - incorporated into the results via post-modeling corrections, after
modeling was done

•	Pennsylvania: Custom Processing Services LLC (Facility ID 17598811) emissions of
hexavalent chromium were corrected from 0.2124 tons to zero tons and post-modeling
risk corrections were made using the same ratio.

•	South Carolina: Steris Spartanburg (Facility ID 6640211), emissions of ethylene oxide
were corrected from 1.766 tons to 0.6174 tons and post-modeling risk corrections were
made using the same ratio.

3.	Corrections to 2019 emissions that are not reflected in the AirToxScreen results

These corrections were identified in our final stages of QA/QC of the AirToxScreen information, and
therefore EPA could not include them in the AirToxScreen results. Please consider this list in your
use of AirToxScreen to prioritize pollutants or sources for further study.

•	Arizona: Stryker Sustainability Solutions (Facility ID: STRYKER) updated information from
facility indicates ethylene oxide emissions were approximately 70% lower in 2018 than
what appears in the 2018 AirToxScreen.

•	North Carolina: Centurion Medical Products Corporation (EIS Facility ID: 14638611)
updated information from facility indicates that ethylene oxide emissions are
approximately 90% less than what appears in the 2019 AirToxScreen.

•	Oregon: Boeing Company (EIS Facility ID: 8140811) updated information from the
Oregon Department of Environmental Quality indicates that hexavalent chromium
emissions are approximately 99.8 - 99.96% less than what appears in the 2019
AirToxScreen.

•	Minnesota: Viking Drill & Tool Inc (Facility ID 7029211) reported 5.42 tons of
Trichloroethylene to EPA's Toxic Release Inventory Program. These emissions were not
included in the 2019 AirToxScreen because there was an indication in the Emission

-------
Inventory System that this facility was shut down in 2019. However, this facility
shutdown with no emissions in 2020.

• Baxter Healthcare Corp in Lake County Illinois (Facility ID 5528111) shut down its

Ethylene oxide sterilizers April 2019 and removed them December 2019. Ethylene oxide
emissions from January through April 2019 were not modeled.
