This job aid assists users on how to request new Login.gov credentials and
request access to the Geologic Sequestration Data Tool (GSDT). NOTE: GSDT account
credentials will only be granted to individuals affiliated with a verified Class VI
project. Preliminary or test account requests will be denied.

1. In your browser go to https://waa.epa.gov. You will be redirected to the EPA
GATEWAY login page.

Geologic Sequestration (GS) Data Tool

This website facilitates electronic reporting as required under
the Class VI Rule, including permit application submittals and
information associated with Class VI permits.

The GSDT was developed by EPA with assistance from the
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), and is housed
at PNNL to support compliance with the electronic reporting
requirements for Class VI well owners or operators.

New users should use the following link to download the
registration form. This form provides instructions for
requesting access to the GS Data Tool.

9. If your project is aleady registered in the GSDT and you have already received
GSDT account credentials, enter these now to log in. Note that your GSDT
credentials are not the same as your Login.gov or EPA Community account
credentials. If your project is not yet registered in the GSDT, download and fill out
the GSDT Project Registration Form.

Permit Applicant: Name of entity (e.g. corporation) that is applying for the Class VI permit.

not need to be the formal name of the site or the organization).
