How to Apply for a 2023 CSB Rebate

Clean School Bus (CSB) Rebate, as well as
tools and resources to assist you in your
transition to clean school buses.

Verify your organization has an active
registration on SAM.gov. If you do
not have an active registration, EPA
encourages all interested applicants to
register and/or re-activate early as there
can be delays in this process.

Discuss your 2025 CSB Rebate application
with all of the parties involved in the
potential new bus project (superintendent,
transportation director, school board,
utility provider, etc.) to make sure
proper planning is in place. Email
cleanschoolbusTA(a)nrel.gov with any
technical assistance questions.

Review application information on the
CSB Rebates webpage and prepare
your application for submittal. Email
cleanschoolbus@epa.gov with any
programmatic questions not answered in
the Questions and Answers document.

Submit your complete 2023 CSB Rebates
application via the online application
portal by January 31,2024, at 4 PM ET.

EPA encourages applicants to submit
packages before the deadline.

Program listserv to stay up to date
on the CSB Program, including future
funding opportunities, webinars, and
resource materials.
