When a release (spill) meets or exceeds the reportable quantity of a hazardous or extremely hazardous substances by federal
requirements, a report to NDEQ satisfies reporting requirements to the State Emergency Response Commission (SERC) according to
Section 304 of EPCRA of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA) Title III (40 CFR Part 355). In these instances,
the LEPC must also be notified in the county or counties likely to be affected by the spill.

For releases of flammable liquids from tanks or other potential fire and explosion hazards, the regional/local State Fire Marshal
Fuels Safety Division must be notified. See the attached diagram for Inspection Area and contact information.
