•	WQX/WQXWeb performance/updates

•	New WQX training videos

•	WQX Tip of the month

•	WQX questions/comments

2.	WQP Status Report (10 mins)

•	WQP General Status Report

•	WQP download profiles status

•	WQP questions/comments

3.	Open Discussion

•	Other topics/questions

Notes:

1)	Welcome and review agenda (Adam G)

2)	Water Quality Exchange (WQX) Project Report (Adam G and Kevin C)

i.	The Helpdesk support has been operating at normal status. Contact Us: weekday hours of 8am to
6pm EST. Email Cwqx@epa.qov') Call 800-424-9067

ii.	Following an Operating System patch EPA's www3 Archive web server was experiencing
intermittent issue publish files for public access. This Data exchange with the Water Quality
Portal Team has been interrupted beginning on May 27.

a.	The issue was identified as intermittent. Our IT center is working to resolve.

b.	This issue currently requires manual stewardship to an automated process.\

c.	A new ETL has been picked up today and should publish within 48 hours.

iii.	There is one upcoming event: WQX has a planned WQX Web Azure Cloud migration event on
June 30, 2022. During this event, the WQX Web application will be deployed to a New cloud
application server. SOME user impact expected: User may experience some impact as a
reduction in processing performance compared to the current "on-premise" server
environment. Application will inherit new network latency transferring data from Cloud
application server to the database server (separate location).

iv.	On June 16, 2022, WQX migrated the PRODUCTION node's XML parse and load software to a
new server. There was a temporary service disruption for the previous node software
successfully migrated and deployed in the Node TEST environment on May 18, 2022.

vi. WQX Tip of the Month (Detection limits and Non-detects)

For any result where you did not collect an actual measured value, the Result Value field should be left
blank. The appropriate Result Detection Condition should instead be selected from the domain list and
one (or more) Result Detection Limit Types should be provided instead. As seen below, Result Detection
Limit Types may be supplied whether or not a value was recorded, however at least one is required if a
Result Detection Condition is provided.

Expert Mode (for Configuration)

Enable advanced features for those that have read the user guide and are very comfortable
with import configurations. Supports header rows and columns. Provides better support for
crosstab formats, such as a file with multiple results per row.

Expert Mode (for Translations)

Allows more complex comparison options and expressions on the translations page

Generate an Activity ID

An Activity ID will be generated from the values provided for Monitoring Location ID.
Activity Date, Activity Time, Activity Type. Activity Depth, and Activity Sample Collection
Equipment This is onfy guaranteed to produce a unique Activity ID if you provide a unique
Activity Time for each Activity at a particufar Monitoring Location

Generate Detection Condition and Limits from
Result VaSue

Convert Result Values that start with "<" or ">" into an appropriate Detection Condition and
Detection Limit Value, For example: a Result Value of "<0.25" would be converted into a
Detection Condition of 'Present Below Quantification Limit", a Detection Limit Value of
"0.25", and a Detection Limit Type of "Lower Quantitation Limit"

Populate Detection Limit Unit from Result Unit

If the value for Detection/Quantrtation Limit Unit is blank, and it is required, use the ResuH:

2)	Water Quality Portal Update (Candace)

i.	The WQP is currently processing its most recent ETL picked up from WQX and should have
updated data available in the WQP sometime later this afternoon (June 23,2022). The Portal
typically (currently) takes about 46 hours to complete the parse and load of the WQX ETL

ii.	Current development activities - WQP Developers are currently working on implementing the
WQX schema 3.0 upgrades in their database and being able to serve those additional fields. The
first effort is delivering the full Physical/Chemical Profile, which is one of the larger and more
complex profiles. We have a first version of this profile available in DEV/STAGING and are
starting to test the profile. Soon, we will deploy this to Production and announce to users to test
the new profile, if they are interested.

3)	Open Discussion/Questions

Question from Arne (CO): Will the Portal ETLS move back to a regular schedule?

Yes, ETLsfrom WQX are currently retrieved 2x a week on Wednesday and Saturday starting
around 8:30 AM Central. Once started, the ETL takes about ~36 hours to complete.

Question from Mary B.: Regarding the WQXWeb server move. Will this affect the WQX Web
Services as well?

Kevin: Yes. When we move to the cloud, services should move back to cdx.cloud.gov address.
We will notify the user community to update addresses.

The next meeting will be held on July 28, 2022.

4)	Adjournment

The meeting was adjourned at 12:23 PM.
