In recent months, two traffic accidents have occurred that involved local residents and haul trucks used in cleanup activi- ties on local properties. Safety is first and foremost for us. To reduce the likelihood of future accidents, we are announcing in advance the routes the trucks will take, so that drivers can be extra cautious when traveling on routes frequented by haul trucks. When construction begins, large trucks like the one pictured at right will use the following routes: Transporting waste from the excavation areas to the repository - • East on East 50 Road to 630 Road • North on 630 Road to East 40 Road • West on East 40 Road to scale • Scale back onto East 40 Road • West of East 40 Road to 610 Road • North on 610 to East 20 Road • West on East 20 Road to Hwy 69 • South on Hwy 69 to East 28 Road • West on East 28 Road to East 30 Road • West on East 30 Road to 565 Road • Southwest on 565 Road to 560 Road • South on 560 Road to East 40 Road • East on East 40 Road to Repository Returning to the excavation areas after delivering the waste to the repository - • Repository to East 40 Road • East on East 40 Road to Hwy 69 • North on Hwy 69 to East 20 Road • East on East 20 Road to 610 Road • South on 610 Road to East 40 Road • East on East 40 Road to 620 Road • South on 620 Road to East 50 Road All haul trucks working on our projects will have speed restrictions for dump trucks lower than posted speed limits, roadside warning signs, and lighted/flashing signs at critical intersections. Placards will be placed on all project trucks and vehicles listing the project office number to call to report un- safe driving. If you witness unsafe driving by any project trucks on these routes, please call 918.674.1164 with the time, location, and the name of the company that is located on the door of the trucks. Your feedback is appreciated. For more information about construction activities and traffic safety, contact the Tar Creek Project Office at 918.674.1164.
