PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The City of Bonner Springs Water Supply and Treatment Plant Project will increase production capacity
to 2 million gallons per day (MGD) to meet demand through 2035 and improve water quality by
reducing total hardness by constructing a new precipitative lime softening water treatment plant. The
purpose of the project is to meet the current and future drinking water demands and improve water
quality.

Selected projects must submit an application for a WIFIA loan, pass a creditworthiness assessment,
negotiate a mutually agreeable term sheet, and execute a credit agreement to receive WIFIA funding.
An invitation to apply indicates that EPA believes the selected projects will be able to attain WIFIA loans.
