PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The Process Advancements at Omohundro and K.R. Harrington Water Treatment Plants Project will
include installing GAC post filter adsorbers at both facilities to achieve water quality and process
enhancements, upgrading the Omohundro Water Treatment Plant to increase the capacity from 90
million gallons per day (MGD) to 120 MGD, and constructing a new 120 MGD raw water pumping
station. The purpose of this project is to provide water quality advances beyond the existing water
treatment process including addressing a wide range of emerging contaminants.

Selected projects must submit an application for a WIFIA loan, pass a creditworthiness assessment,
negotiate a mutually agreeable term sheet, and execute a credit agreement to receive WIFIA funding.
An invitation to apply indicates that EPA believes the selected projects will be able to attain WIFIA loans.
