PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The PFAS Remediation Program will provide remediation assistance and support to area drinking water
purveyors to help them comply with emerging regulatory standards. The program will provide either
full-service engineering, design, installation, and financial support for municipalities who do not have
such resources in-house or financial-only support for municipalities that do have such resources. The
purpose of this program is to fund new wellhead treatment systems designed to reduce and/or remove
PFAS from at least 43,000 acre feet per year of groundwater supplies from approximately 15 municipal
water purveyors in the Water Replenishment District's service area.

Selected projects must submit an application for a WIFIA loan, pass a creditworthiness assessment,
negotiate a mutually agreeable term sheet, and execute a credit agreement to receive WIFIA funding.
An invitation to apply indicates that EPA believes the selected projects will be able to attain WIFIA loans.
