The Northwest Indiana Urban Waters Partnership looks to our local partners to
guide our goals and activities for the coming year. The agenda of the January
meeting will focus entirely on gathering input to summarize 2017 accomplishments
and guide the 2018 work plan. We hope you will join us to share your needs and
priorities for 2018 and identify ways the Urban Waters Partnership can help! The

CommuniTree Accepting Applications for Spring Plantings
Applications Due February 2nd

CommuniTree is now accepting applications for
trees for the 2018 spring planting season. Eligible
applicants include municipalities, schools,
conservation organizations and other public
entities in Northwest Indiana's Lake Michigan
watershed. For more details please the

SCA Hiring Calumet Conservation Corps Team Members
Applications received by February 17th given highest consideration

The Student Conservation Association is
looking for crew members to serve on a tree
planting team in NW Indiana from April 2 -
December 1, 2018. Applicants should be
between the ages of 18-25 years old, reside
in or around Northwest Indiana, and able to
perform tasks requiring physical exertion,
outdoors, in all weather conditions. View the

Save the Dunes Hiring Project Coordinator

Save the Dunes Conservation Fund, Inc. is a non-profit conservation organization
located in Michigan City, Indiana. The organization is seeking a full-time Project
Coordinator who will oversee various conservation and advocacy projects
benefiting the Indiana dunes. Save the Dunes provides a vibrant environment for
continuous learning in a challenging and rewarding atmosphere in which both
personal and organizational successes are valued and celebrated. View the

The Northwest Indiana Urban Waters Partnership focuses on the Lake Michigan watershed in Lake,

LaPorte and Porter Counties, Indiana.

Urban Waters works to connect urban communities, particularly those that are overburdened or
economically distressed, with their waterways by improving coordination among federal agencies and
state and local partners. The goals are to improve the Nation's water systems and to promote their

economic, environmental and social benefits.
