PROGRAM The Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) program accelerates investment in our nation's water infrastructure by providing long-term, low-cost supplemental loans for regionally and nationally significant projects. PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY SERVICE AUTHORITY PROJECT NAME: Booster Pump Station, Water Main Construction, and SCADA System Upgrade LOCATION: Woodbridge, VA INVITED WIFIA LOAN AMOUNT $40 million POPULATION SERVED BY PROJECT: 94,000 PROJECT TYPE: Drinking Water PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Booster Pump Station, Water Main Construction, and SCADA System Upgrade will include: 1) construction of a new Four Season/Montclair booster pump station; 2) design and construction of a water main along Route 1; 3) design and construction of steel water mains and a finished water pump; and 4) a SCADA system upgrade. The purpose of the projects is to provide auxiliary pumping capacity and improve system reliability. 25 million in 20 states Selected projects must submit an application for a WIFIA loan, pass a creditworthiness assessment, negotiate a mutually agreeable term sheet, and execute a credit agreement to receive WIFIA funding. An invitation to apply indicates that EPA believes the selected projects will be able to attain WIFIA loans.
