Apartments. Please referto the Indoor AirPlus Program Documents page to access the latest versions.

Indoor AirPlus National Program Requirements

The Indoor AirPlus National Program Requirements (Version 2) describes the eligibility requirements;
partnership, training and credentialing requirements; and the certification process for homes and
apartments. It also includes the implementation timeline to determine the Version and, if applicable, the
Revision that is required to be used for each home or apartment.

Indoor AirPlus Verification Requirements

The Indoor AirPlus Verification Requirements (Version 2) includes the design, construction, and verification
requirements for both Indoor AirPlus Certified and Indoor AirPlus Gold Certified homes. Additionally,
ENERGY STAR certification is a pre-requisite for a dwelling unit to achieve Indoor AirPlus Gold
Certification. Please referto the ENERGY STAR Residential New Construction Program website for more
information and the full description of ENERGY STAR requirements.

Indoor AirPlus Program Policy Record

The Indoor AirPlus Program Policy Record contains the most recent updates to the program requirements
in response to partner questions and standard revisions. Any change or clarification published by EPA can
be applied immediately, unless otherwise noted.

Indoor AirPlus Certification System (including Application for Recognition as an Indoor AirPlus
Home Certification Organization)

The Indoor AirPlus Certification System for Homes and Apartments establishes the specific eligibility
criteria, policy requirements, and certification procedures required of an Indoor AirPlus Home Certification
Organization, including the application for EPA recognition as an IAP HCO. Once the Indoor AirPlus Version
2 Certification System is finalized, all Indoor AirPlus certified homes and apartments must be certified
through an EPA-recognized Home Certification Organization, in accordancewith the Indoor AirPlus
program requirements. Until that system is finalized by EPA, Indoor AirPlus homes and apartments must be
certified using aVerifier partnered with the Indoor AirPlus program via the "Indoor AirPlus Partnership
Terms and Commitments for Rating Companies"

Indoor AirPlus Quality Assurance Checklist

The Indoor AirPlus Quality Assurance Checklist will provide guidance for an IAP HCO during file review and
field evaluation for quality assurance/quality control of the certification process. This QA/QC documentwill
be released with a forthcoming update to the Indoor AirPlus Certification System. Until such time, HCOs
may develop and implement QA/QC procedures with voluntary participation in IAPV1 and/orV2, but HCOs
are not required to enforce QA/QC until EPA establishes an implementation timeline for such protocols
within the Certification System.
