PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The North District and Central District Wastewater Treatment Plants Ocean Outfall Legislation Projects
will construct components required upstream of the to-be constructed municipal injection wells at the
North District and Central District Wastewater Treatment Plants. The purpose of these projects is to
comply with Florida's Ocean Outfall Legislation by eliminating the normal use of the ocean outfall,
thereby reducing nutrient discharges and improving water quality.

Selected projects must submit an application for a WIFIA loan, pass a creditworthiness assessment,
negotiate a mutually agreeable term sheet, and execute a credit agreement to receive WIFIA funding.
An invitation to apply indicates that EPA believes the selected projects will be able to attain WIFIA loans.
