PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The Regional Wastewater System Improvements Program will include four projects to expand the
system's capacity; increase its solids handling capacity; increase the flow capacity and overall efficiency
of lift stations; and enhance the facility's ability to reliably produce high quality recycled water. The
Inland Empire Utilities Agency closed a WIFIA loan for this project in 2020 and is seeking additional
funding. The purpose of the projects is to implement improvements to wastewater treatment facilities
that will ensure reliable wastewater treatment and compliance with Title 22 standards for recycled
water production.

Selected projects must submit an application for a WIFIA loan, pass a creditworthiness assessment,
negotiate a mutually agreeable term sheet, and execute a credit agreement to receive WIFIA funding.
An invitation to apply indicates that EPA believes the selected projects will be able to attain WIFIA loans.
