PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Project will double the treatment capacity of the
Weirton Sanitary Board's wastewater treatment plant from 4 million gallons per day (MGD) to 8 MGD.
The purpose of this project is to increase the treatment capacity to meet current and future demand
more effectively, including the expected arrival of new industrial customers to the area.

Selected projects must submit an application for a WIFIA loan, pass a creditworthiness assessment,
negotiate a mutually agreeable term sheet, and execute a credit agreement to receive WIFIA funding.
An invitation to apply indicates that EPA believes the selected projects will be able to attain WIFIA loans.
