1) How's My Waterway application - Dwane Young demonstrated the newest version of the
application. It is available to users in a demo environment and will be released to the public in
mid-April. He encouraged WQX users to test out the application. Dwane noted the following
about the updated application:

•	It now has nationwide coverage for assessments. Arkansas will be added before it's
released. The tribes are not in there yet.

•	A glossary is available on the top homepage and will provide more information to the
general public.

•	Data feedback is included.

•	Information on how the ATTAINS data is grouped together.

•	Added an "About" tab and a Q&A tab.

2)	Water Quality Portal Refreshes

There has been a steady refresh flow from WQX to WQP. Anyone experiencing issues should
contact the WQX Help Desk.

3)	WQX/WQX Web 3.0 Schema

The release date to production has been postponed due to recent IT telework and network
stabilization concerns. The new tentative production release has been scheduled after April 3,
2020. Adoption of WQX 3.0 elements is not required for XML submissions. WQX 2.2 is
included in the release of 3.0 and is 100% backward compatible with the current WQX 2.1
schema. WQX 3.0 has minor changes which are not backward compatible.

WQX 3.0 TEST / staging environment is current available as of March 2, 2020 for test
submissions. WQX Web 3.0 (text to xml file generation tool) will support all WQX 3.0 schema
elements and business rules. WQX 3.0 elements is required for SPREADSHEET submissions.

Note: WQX Web supports both Direct XML submission to CDX and Spreadsheet submission. If
you don't have a Node Client to submit, then use WQX Web. Unlike Node/Node Client, WQX
Web (a web client) has NO software installation requirements. XML files are 100% backward
compatible with the older schemas.

Other items:

Chis Neumiller from Washington State notified WQX users of an effort led by Brian Pointer
from North Carolina Department of Natural Resources management. It is an Interstate
Technology and Regulatory Council project proposal on data management. Volunteers are to
build upon the ICDEM effort. Those interested should contact Chris Neumiller or Brian Pointer.
