PROGRAM The Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) program accelerates investment in our nation's water infrastructure by providing long-term, low-cost supplemental loans for regionally and nationally significant projects. PITTSBURGH WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY PROJECT NAME Clearwell Replacement Projects LOCATION: Pittsburgh, PA INVITED WIFIA LOAN AMOUNT $128 million POPULATION SERVED BY PROJECT: 257,040 PROJECT TYPE: Drinking Water PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Clearwell Replacement Projects will implement seven projects that include pump station improvements, reservoir improvements, and water main replacement. The purpose of these projects is to replace the aging clearwell to maintain the required volume, quality, and contact time of water delivery to customers.
