PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The Pacheco Reservoir Expansion Project will expand the Pacheco Reservoir to 140 thousand acre-feet
by constructing a new dam, pump station, conveyance facilities, and related infrastructure. The purpose
of the project is to mitigate against drought, provide emergency water supply, and reduce aquifer
depletion and flooding.

Selected projects must submit an application for a WIFIA loan, pass a creditworthiness assessment,
negotiate a mutually agreeable term sheet, and execute a credit agreement to receive WIFIA funding.
An invitation to apply indicates that EPA believes the selected projects will be able to attain WIFIA loans.
