wsLIH (ttD ST^v -? 33 X The goal of the West Coast Collaborative is to leverage significant federal funds to reduce emissions from the most polluting diesel sources in the most affected communities. The Collaborative seeks to significantly improve air quality and public health by targeting the highest polluting diesel engines and equipment with the cost-effective control strategies. DERA 2020: Agricultural Tractor Replacement in CNMI Under the 2019 Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) State/Territory Clean Diesel Program, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) West Coast Collaborative provided a $81,441 grant to the Commonwealth Northern Marians Islands' (CNMI) to replace one agricultural tractor. What is this project? EPA's Pacific Southwest Region 9 provided a grant to the CNMI's Department of Land and Natural Resources to purchase one new, cleaner diesel-fueled agricultural tractor in this rural U.S. territory island. The funded new agricultural tractor will be a Tier 4 engine that will perform similar functions. The old tractor will be properly rendered inoperable and scrapped. aft 41 PkoT Where is this project located? CNMI is a U.S. Pacific island territory in Oceania located in the western Pacific Ocean. This new agricultural tractor will operate throughout the island of Saipan in CNMI. How was this project funded?
