Highlights of Early Input from States, Tribes and Associations

•	OITA met with its primary tribal partnership group: the National Tribal Caucus.

•	OITA made itself available to all headquarters and regional tribal coordinators to meet with their
respective tribal groups. All requests (R4, R7) for a presentation and input opportunity were
met.

•	Tribal Teleconferences Input:

o General Response was thanks for the opportunity.

o The only specific statement was the National Tribal Caucus statement directing OITA to

their most recent budget submission document,
o No follow-up questions or statements were received from the teleconferences.

Next Steps

OITA and the EPA regions will consider the early input received from state, territory, and tribal
partners in developing the FY 2025-2026 National Program Guidance. OITA briefed Office of
Regional Administrator Tribal Division Directors and EPA HQ/Regional Tribal Program Managers on
the NPG, so that these EPA staff could separately seek early input during their interactions with
tribes (especially at the regional level). Outside of a few logistical questions, OITA received no
additional input from the regional staff hearing from Tribes.
