A U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Program

PROGRAM

The Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA)
program accelerates investment in our nation's water
infrastructure by providing long-term, low-cost supplemental
loans for regionally and nationally significant projects.

INDIANA WATER AND WASTEWATER INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS

BORROWER: Indiana Finance Authority

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Indiana Finance Authority's WIFIA loan will provide financing to the Indiana Clean Water and
Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Programs (SRFs) to accelerate investment in drinking water
and wastewater projects across the state. These projects include constructing a new water
treatment plant and extending drinking water and wastewater services to new customers. This
financing will benefit 134,000 people, including a small community with 17,000 residents. The
WIFIA loan will be combined with SRF funding to make even more assistance available to these
communities over the next few years. This is the third loan to the Indiana Finance Authority,
providing over $630 million in WIFIA financing to accelerate water infrastructure projects
throughout the state.

•	Supports a small community with 17,000 residents.
