The goal of the Collaborative is to leverage federal funds to strategically reduce emissions from the most polluting diesel sources in impacted
communities. The Collaborative seeks to improve air quality and public health by targeting the highest polluting engines with the most cost effective
control strategies.

Columbia Corridor
Association - Western
Oregon Drayage Emissions
Reduction Project

The West Coast Collaborative is pleased to announce
that EPA has selected the Columbia Corridor Association
(CCA) for $345,862 in EPA funding. The project will be
implemented in partnership with Columbia Corridor
Association, Green Transfer and Storage, JNB Trucking
and McCracken Motor Freight

What is the Western Oregon Drayage
Emissions Reduction Project?

The project will replace six vintage (1992 to 1999) heavy duty diesel
powered trucks with EPA certified 2010 and newer heavy-duty
tractors specifically designed for drayage service.

Why is this project important?

This Western Oregon Drayage Emissions Project will significantly
reduce diesel emissions and fuel consumption by replacing six higher
emitting and inefficient heavy duty diesel trucks used in drayage
service in the metropolitan areas of Portland and Eugene in Oregon
and Vancouver, Longview, Tacoma and Seattle in Washington State.
Each of these areas are terminals for transfer of cargo between rail,
marine and trucking goods movement routes.

What are the estimated environmental!
benefits?

The drayage truck replacement project will reduce annual emissions
of NOx by 4.77 tons; PM by 0.15 tons; HC by 0.16 tons; CO by 1.09
tons; and C02 by 141.18 and Black Carbon by 194.36 tons.

How is this project funded?

Through EPA and National Clean Diesel Funding Assistance
Program, the West Coast Collaborative is providing $345,861 in
funds in support of this project. Additionally, the project anticipates a
mandatory match of $485,000 from CCA, Green Transfer and
Storage, JNB Trucking and McCracken Motor Freight.

Who are the partners on this project?

CCA, Green Transfer and Storage, JNB Trucking and McCracken
Motor Freight.

What is the Collaborative?

The West Coast Collaborative is a partnership between leaders from
federal, state, and local government, the private sector, and
