vvEPA FACT SHEET EPA WaterTA: Helping Communities Solve Water Challenges All communities deserve access to safe, clean, and reliable water. Yet too many communities across America —rural and urban, small and large—face challenges in providing safe drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater services to their residents. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law presents an unprecedented opportunity to address water infrastructure needs by providing $50 billion in new funding, the largest federal investment in water in the history of our nation. EPA offers free water technical assistance (WaterTA) to help communities identify water challenges and solutions, build capacity, and develop application materials to access water infrastructure funding. EPA collaborates with states, tribes, territories, community partners, and other stakeholders to implement WaterTA efforts. The result: more communities with applications for federal funding, quality water infrastructure, and reliable water services. Identify water challenges Plan for solutions Increase community engagement Build technical, financial, managerial capacity Develop application materials to access water infrastructure funding How to Request WaterTA Water utilities and communities may request WaterTA support by filling out a simple online WaterTA Request Form. EPA then reviews eligibility and coordinates with your state to determine the best way to meet your needs. You may access the online form by visiting www.epa.gov/waterTA.
