In May 2017, EPA established a task force to restore the Superfund program to its rightful
place at the center of the Agency's core mission to protect health and the environment.

Site Name: Woodbury Chemical Company (Princeton Plant) Superfund Site
Size: 5 acres

Existing Site Infrastructure: All major utilities are available on site.

Current Site Uses: A salvage yard and a vehicle maintenance and repair shop are located on site.
Use Restrictions: None.

SETTING:

•	A manufacturing plant and farm supply store were active
on site during cleanup and continue to operate on site.

•	Site surroundings include agricultural, commercial and
residential areas.

•	The site is zoned for agricultural uses.

•	Surrounding population: 0.5 miles, 1,784 people
2.5 miles, 47,127 people | 4 miles, 127,291 people.

REMEDIAL STATUS:

•	After a 1979 chemical spill at the site, the Miami-Dade
County Department of Environmental Resources
Management found high levels of contamination in
drinking water wells on and near the site. EPA sampling
also identified contamination in soil and groundwater.

Disclaimer: EPA does not warrant that the property is suitable
for any particular use. Prospective purchasers must contact the
property owner for sale potential.

EPA placed the site on the Superfund program's National
Priorities List (NPL) in 1990.

The Woodbury Chemical Company removed contaminated
soil from the chemical spill area. EPA's final cleanup plan
required groundwater monitoring Ho further action for
soil was required.

After groundwater monitoring results showed the site did
not pose a significant risk to public health, EPA took the
site off the NPL in 1995.
