Short-term cleanup activities from 2010 to 2011 and 2014 to 2015 removed hazardous materials and contaminated soil and treated residential groundwater wells. The site's long-term cleanup has been ongoing since 2015. EPA treats groundwater and monitors the site. The Maryland Department of the Environment monitors and maintains residential well treatment systems. EPA reviewed the site's remedy most recently in 2020. EPA found that it remains protective of human health and the environment. Additional remedial actions are being developed to achieve groundwater cleanup goals.
