Updated Information on Nomination Process

•	Nomination process from Wednesday August 23, through midnight HST Wednesday Sept. 6.

•	Self-nomination for membership. Will be accepted on the website: www.epa.aov/red-hill/cri

•	Selection of Community Representation Initiative members at in person/hybrid meeting Sept. 16.

o 10 CRI members with alternates designated by category.

Nominees

Nominees shall submit the following at www.epa.aov/red-hill/cri:

•	Name, email, and phone number.

•	Which category you prefer to represent.

c i.e. affected community, community based organization, etc. (see list below),
o Chosen affiliation/title for individuals representing Community Based Organizations/Activists.

•	A bio about yourself & why you are a fit for the Community Representation Initiative.

o Limited to 1000 characters with spaces (approximately 150 words).

•	Nominees unable to use a computer may request accommodation.

Community Feedback

Based on community feedback, EPA has made
several adjustments to the CRI nomination and
selection process. CRI members will now be
delegates who represent different community
groups.

Nominees will apply to represent
one of the following groups:

1)	Impacted residents (2 seats)

•	Open to military and civilian affected communities

•	Residents living in or displaced from impacted areas

2)	O'ahu residents (4 seats)	_

•	Open to any Oahu resident including: U

Schedule of Nomination & Voting Process

o	Neighborhood board members

o	Business leaders

o	Educators

o	Historical perspectives

o All generations including kupuna and youth

3)	Community Based Organizations/Activists (2 seats)

•	Open to organizations who will send one leading
representative to participate

4)	Individuals representing Native Hawaiian interests
(2 seats)

•	Open to all Hawaii residents

Once formed, CRI members may invite government and technical
experts to resource seats (e.g. Honolulu Board of Water Supply).
