PROGRAM The Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) program accelerates investment in our nation's water infrastructure by providing long-term, low-cost supplemental loans for regionally and nationally significant projects. CITY OF PROVO PROJECT NAME: Aq uifer, Storage, and Recovery Program LOCATION: Provo, UT INVITED WIFIA LOAN AMOUNT $34 million POPULATION SERVED BY PROJECT: 117,000 PROJECT TYPE: Drinking Water PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Provo Aquifer, Storage, and Recovery Program (Phase 3) will design and construct the aquifer storage and recharge projects identified through planning efforts to create a sustainable water supply for Provo City. The purpose of the project is to build long-term drought resilience by increasing the City's reliable water supply year-round, including during times of drought.
