In May 2017, EPA established a task force to restore the Superfund program to its rightful
place at the center of the Agency's core mission to protect health and the environment.

Site Name: Anaconda Aluminum Company/Afilgo Electronics Corporation Superfund Site
Size: 3 acres (1-acre Anaconda Aluminum property and 2-acre Milgo Electronics property)

Existing Site Infrastructure: All major utilities are available at both properties. On-site facilities include
manufacturing and warehouse buildings, paved areas, and rail spurs.

Current Site Uses: The former Anaconda Aluminum facility is used for warehousing activities. Commercial
and industrial businesses are located in the former Milgo Electronics facility.

SETTING:

•	The site and surrounding areas are zoned for commercial
and industrial land uses.

•	Areas north, south, and west of the site are in industrial use.
A large mobile home community is located immediately east
of the site.

•	As of December 2017, 1 .PA had data for three on-site
businesses. These businesses employed three people
and generated an estimated $1,152,620 in annual
sales revenue.

•	Surrounding population: 0.5 mile, 2,042 people
2.5 miles, 146,801 people | 4 miles, 364,377 people.

REMEDIAL STATUS:

• Anaconda Aluminum Ca /Milgo Electronics Corp. operated
electroplating and coating facilities on site from 1957 to
1983.

for any particular use. Prospective purchasers must contact die
property owner for sale potential.

Wastes disposed of on site contaminated soil, groundwater
and sediment with heavy metals.

In 1990, EPA added the site to the Superfund program's
National Priorities List (MPL).

Contaminated soils were dug up and disposed of off site in
1993. Groundwater monitoring finished in 1995.

After cleanup, EPA took the site off the NPL in 1998.
